Brandishing a tax deduction.

I thought this was worth while enough to post on here.
It's cold, the economy sucks, work is uncertain... What is one to do? I don't know the answer, but I do know this. If you have frustrations and no way to channel them you will EXPLODE! So here is what I have recently rediscovered, Shotguns.
Do to some "changes" in mine and my kid brother's lives, I decided that we needed to shoot guns to let off a little steam. It just so happens that I have in the past built some furniture for this particular brother, thus converting him into a client of Ethereal Furnishings. so I had the pleasure of taking this client of mine to the Provo gun club compliments of Ethereal Furnishings. It was freezing and the "lifers" put us to shame, but we were back the next week ready for more. I am happy to say, I think there is plenty more where that came from!

I can't think right now!!

I haven't made a post for a while,
I have been busy working on licensing and fun stuff like that. The new website is up and running but not finished. I will have a couple new projects completed soon to post on here. for the time being I thought I would put something up just for fun. I have had a lot of head congestion lately with the legal side of "business ownership", so I figured this would be appropriate.

"Zen box" made from East India Rosewood. Made for a client of Ethereal Furnishings that has a soft spot for star wars...

Anyway, let me know if there are any projects coming up that you would like some help with. Wood work, steel work, home remodeling, what ever you have in mind I can probably provide some assistance.

Superdork!

O.k. then, I found this jointer for $60 bucks. I figured I didn't have much to lose, so I bought it.
I needed to get one for a project I was working on and thought, "this will get the job done, then maybe I will fix it up."
Turns out this is a 1949 Walker Turner model. I finished the project and moved on to another one. When I finally had a little spare time I started tearing it down. In true "Jimmer" fashion I went a little crazy on the project. Every black part you see is powder coated, I wire wheeled the knobs and hardware, rebuilt the motor and resurfaced the top of the table. I also built a cart to roll it around on.
I think it's safe to say I have one of the coolest 1949 jointers around. Also Does this take me another step down the road of "uncool old woodworker guy"?

Bike Modification

A guy in Logan saw some pictures of my bike online and contacted me to make some modifications on his. He drove down to drop off the bike. I converted the xs650 to a hardtail with a 4" stretch and mounted a sportster peanut tank. Good luck with the rest of the project bro!

Custom White Oak front door.

Awhile back I met a very kind woman who lives in Levan. She hired me to build her custom interior rail as well and an arbor for her front yard. The most recent job I did was a White Oak front door for her. She had an idea of what she wanted, but couldn't find it anywhere, so she called me. It's a craftsman style door with Gothic glass windows, she loved it.
